McCain's Letter Warning of Fannie and Freddie

Here is the letter that McCain has been bosting about in his campaign. Obama did not sign it. Obama can say that he warned of Fannie and Freddie trouble but if he was only talking to his wife, Louie Farrakhan, Billy Ayers and Jeremiah Wright instead of asking in writing that it be reviewed on the floor of the senate should we consider it official?
